AC Shadows Introduces Surprising AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a unexpected partnership that breaks conventional predictions, the game developer has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Revealed
According to the official announcement, "An unusual confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome changes resonate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine cult.
The mission focuses on "bizarre trials and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to numerous items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
